I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Puerto Rico. I moved four years ago to Philadelphia to advance my doctoral studies at Temple University, majoring in Sociolinguistics. My scholarly work revolves around assessing culturally responsive language teaching strategies in multilingual communities. As a scholar-practitioner, my role in Let’s Talk, Philly! is to serve as a data analyst implementing evaluation to document the program’s outcomes and participants’ experiences. I also support the organization as a part of the grant writing team.
